		A group of Scripture Union volunteers have flown (9 January) to India in a bid to rebuild the vital children’s centre damaged in the recent tsunami disaster.
		The volunteers, who are part of Scripture Union’s Action Abroad placement scheme, where Christian volunteers travel abroad and serve in local and often under-privileged communities, have rearranged their programme to help repair the camp at Mahabalipuram, on the eastern coast of Tamil Nadu.
		One of the volunteers, Rachel Warner, said she was looking forward to helping.
