The minimum age for scuba diving is 15 although some organizations offer Junior courses with a minimum age of 12 but the student should be mature and under the direct control of an older competent diver responsible for the junior diver.
Most organisations are not too concerned about end of course examinations rather the instructor will evaluate each divers performance.

It was founded in 1996 by Brenda Carey, Leon Golding and Rikki Singh, with the initial aim of acting as a focal point for the organisation of scuba diving holidays abroad for people with disabilities.
The Scuba Trust holds monthly introduction to diving sessions in an indoor swimming pool, supervised by a volunteer team of friendly dive professionals from a range of dive organisations, including BSAC, PADI and IAHD.
