The member libraries fund SEAM projects and acquisitions through an annual membership fee; representatives of member institutions meet annually to discuss projects and to elect a chair and executive committee (consisting of representatives from three participating institutions and a faculty member chosen by CORMOSEA).
SEAM holdings include more than 300 historic newspapers from every country in the region, in national, minority, and English or other colonial languages, similar numbers of historic journals and government serials and thousands of historic manuscripts.

 How to apply Seam Tape
Seam taping is an easy process and an important step in properly preparing your surface before applying Ames Coatings and Paints.
The purpose of seam taping is to provide reinforcement over areas prone to splitting, such as seams or joints, and create a “bridge” that ties the surfaces together so water cannot seep through.
Seam tape is used around roof vents, on flashings, over cracks and gaps, along the seams on metal or RV roofs, and in many other applications.

In Search of the Perfect Seam - Part 1 - Sewing
Sew a 5/8” seam and watch how the top layer and bottom layer come through after the seam is completed.
There are many selections to choose from, starting with your own machine manufacturer’s seam guide, to generic, magnetized guides that will hold fast to the bottom of the sewing bed.
Seam Allowance Alternatives: No one says you have to have a 5/8” wide seam, and in sewing different weights of fabrics, you may find that cutting your pattern pieces with a narrower seam allowance, and sewing a narrower seam may be the best solution, especially on knits and lighter weight fabrics.

 Baseball Seam
We know that it has a circumference of 9 1/8 inches, that the closest approach that the seam's center line makes to itself, as it winds around the ball, is an arc length of 1 3/16 inches, and that there are 108 stitches.
Although the shape of the seam's path is not specified, inspection reveals that the path is composed of four circular arc segments and that the points on the ball's surface where the arc segments are joined describe a square that lies on a plane that bisects the ball.
The holes in the seam and cover are subtractions of a pair of cylinders radial copied around one seam arc and then replicated.

Brian Leonard's Blog: Trying out JBoss' Seam
Seam is going to bind your JSF action directly to a session bean, and it needs this pattern to do the JNDI lookup on your behalf.
Unfortunately, the Seam framework expects to find this file in the root of the EJB jar file and not in the META-INF directory, so we have to create a custom Ant target to put it there.
To me, the real power with Seam is its ability to instantiate the session bean and inject it with the context object.

French seams - How to make
A French seam is often used when the fabric is too delicate to overcast the seam allowance to prevent raveling.
Until the seamstress is proficient with this procedure, using a French seam on curves (such as placing a sleeve into an armhole) should be avoided.
The nature of a French seam's construction requires that you be aware of the difference during construction so that they are properly oriented in each step.
