After establishing in the first few minutes of the film that these words and ideas were to be used, and used freely, in the next 80 minutes, their shock value evaporated, and so did the main premise of the movie.
This film, and this joke, in this context, is not transgressive or subversive.

 Seattle International Film Festival
The longest and largest film festival in the United States, and one of the top five festivals in North America, The Seattle International Film Festival opened Thursday, May 18 with the North American Premiere of Director Kenneth Branagh's Love's Labour's Lost starring Alessandro Nivola and Alicia Silverstone, who were in attendance.
The Festival, started in 1975 (there was no 13th edition) by Co-Directors Darryl McDonald and Dan Ireland (Director, The Whole Wide World, The Velocity of Gary) as a showcase platform for European films, has returned to its roots this year with a striking lineup of world cinema.
In addition to the award, films that play at the Festival are automatically considered for the IFP American Independent Spirit Award; the Festival is one of only six American festivals to hold that distinction.

I thought I'd try covering the Seattle Film Festival a little more blog-style rather than write the usual overview attempting to find the common thread among dozens or hundreds of films from around the world in one paragraph.
So it isn't a great film to watch, but it is a kind of record of what people were saying as the wall went in.
Yet, what the film shows clearly is how the government — contrary to its own regulations, in some cases — has made conscious decisions to squeeze money out of the fishermen.

 Hollywood Reviews at SIFF
All of his films are that way, it's definitely every one of his films is pretty much where he stands on life and what's the issue he's questioning about life at that moment.
Because as good as the other films were, there was just something, it's hard to say, there's just something about the Clerks films that just stand out a little bit more than all of his other films.
Where, to my eyes, they're still the same quality films, just with bigger budgets, and he still does a remarkable job of writing about characters and some of the stuff that people don't talk about in film, but yet people are thinking about.
