Seattle University asked a judge in King County Superior Court yesterday to evict several Ethiopian businesses using college property.
The university plans to use the building at East Cherry Street and 13th Avenue East as a warehouse and set a Monday deadline for the businesses to clear out.
Catherine Walker, an attorney representing the university, said she knows of no valid lease and noted the university has allowed the stores to stay in the building rent-free since January.
