But the first corps was only a kind of vanguard to the second, which was the real army, and a wonderful thing to see and hear.
The second was Commander de Jars, and the young man he brought with him was his nephew, the Chevalier de Moranges.
His thoughts now turned upon the best means of giving again the upper hand to her ambition.

 Curt's Music Reviews
I'm sittin here listening to the re-release of Seether's debut album (which was called "Disclaimer"), "Disclaimer II." Compared to the original version, it has 8 extra songs (including the second version of their song "Broken" featuring Amy Lee, the vocalist of Evanescence - as featured on The Punisher soundtrack).
Sounds like their debut was a good step towards their latest album, "We Are Not Alone." I think "Saturate" is best known for the tracks "Polyamorous" and "Home." More thoughts after more listens...

Spock's Greatest Hits-The Two Sides of Leonard Nimoy
In his second venture, Nimoy goes deeper into Star Trek self-parody with " Highly Illogical " and "The Difference Between Us." Somewhere between the recording of the first and second albums, there was a novelty hit called "Desiderata" featuring a reading of the pithy pop-culture beatitude.
One of them, concerned because people were pressing other things besides Leonard Nimoy record albums into his hand for autographing, started to protest.
Nimoy takes up the gauntlet with "Spock Thoughts" suggesting that a certain pointy-eared Vulcan spent at least some of his time reading posters in West Coast head shops.

 MTV.com: Madonna: Dancing Queen
Yet the album's strongest track might be the second single, the Pet Shop Boys-esque "Sorry," which is punctuated with Madonna singing the title in about 10 different languages, and wistfully evokes the sounds of the '80s-era dance clubs that first lofted her toward stardom.
The album merges elements of '70s disco, '80s electro-pop and present-day club burners, but it also allows us a peek into Madge's mind, with her thoughts on love, religion and fame bubbling into the album's frothy mix.
Heavily self-referential, the album might find Madonna singing about the weighty topics that informed her last LP — Kabbalah, questioning fame and the material world — but the lyrics come with the sweetener of thumping, pulsing, shimmering dance beats.

The Final Cut by Pink Floyd: Album Reviews
The thoughts swirling around this album were fairly negative, giving that this would be the true Pink Floyd's final record.
The record itself is another concept album, documenting the second World War and other military conflicts, a subject close to home with Roger Waters (having lost his father to WWII).
"The Final Cut" would be the last effort of the band's to include founding member, bassist, vocalist, lyricist, and back-bone Roger Waters; although the album was not commercially accepted, or nearly as popular as the greats from the band, it was more than a high note.

 Today (song) - Open Encyclopedia
It originally appeared on their 1993 album Siamese Dream, from which it was the second single.
The song is ironically upbeat, containing sarcastic lyrics claiming that "Today is the greatest day I've ever known." In truth, the lyrics are actually gloomy in attitude; songwriter Billy Corgan wrote the song about a day in which he was having suicidal thoughts.
The song also appeared on the band's greatest hits album Rotten Apples.

 TrouserPress.com :: Blow Monkeys
Moving in to fill the vapid-soul vacancy left by Culture Club during that band's terminal creative drought, England's Blow Monkeys whipped up a disturbingly familiar-sounding bit of fluff, "Digging Your Scene," for their second album.
Continuing his strange habit of setting strongly motivated left-wing criticisms of the state of contemporary England into ultra-commercial arrangements, Dr. Robert doesn't so much share his political thoughts as allude to them coyly while his three bandmates and guests effortlessly and energetically pump out forgettably glib mush.
The trivial songs at least sound fine; the peerless Curtis Mayfield provides a huge (if undeserved) credibility boost by duetting on the appropriately derivative "The Day After You." The album title is an effete slap at Margaret Thatcher; the CD adds two extra tracks.

Christina Aguilera - "Stripped" Album Review
Personally, Christina Aguilera has always been one of my favorite singer, "Stripped", an latest album that was created and written by Christina Aguilera her self, which show a lot of her true feelings and thoughts during the past times when she was in a down time by depression and competition.
With the great success of her self titled album, Christina Aguilera released her second album "Mi Reflejo" (2000) which is a Latin album.
First track of the album, Stripped "Intro", sings about that she is back for good from the long time waiting, and she was kept on saying sorry that she is not perfect, no body is perfect, there is no pretend, it's just her.

Nugent almost repeats his thoughts in Part 2 but here the focus is on his family.
As always, a Nugent album is all about guitar and Ted puts his axe to good use here.
The second tune, the title track, is another rollicking steamroller of guitar sound with guitars howling quietly in the background while the Nuge lays down a blistering chorus riff that cuts to the quick.

Eyeball Kid - Liberty X - Being Somebody - Album Review
‘Being Somebody’ is their second platter and has been preceded by two credible singles, the Richard X collaboration ‘Being Nobody’ and the Neptunes-esque ‘Jumpin’.
That said, ‘Being Somebody’ is a well-produced mix of slinky r’n’b with more than a nod to the American market (where Virgin Records seemingly have high hopes for Liberty X) and a number of radio-friendly ballads; ‘Forever’ in particular conjuring up thoughts of a Christmas single.
Taking their time making album number one and holding off for several singles the release of the excellent ‘Just A Little’ certainly paid off, with most people now filing them under Pop Its Okay To Like.
