  Seecamp DA Conversion? - 1911Forum
Essex did/does sell most or all of the Seecamp components, but they won't have the enlarged trigger guard, or what I would assume to be directions for the complicated machining operations.
I'm no fan of DA autos in general, and the Seecamp conversion seems to be an answer in search of a question, but it does give you all the good qualities of the 1911 in a DA auto, if that's important.
I agree with with you as I'm not a DA fan in auto's, my first 45 was a early Sig 220 in the form of a BDA and I quickly found favor in the 1911.

Seecamp Co., Inc., which was founded as a family business by Louis W. Seecamp in 1973, began as a gunsmithing operation specializing in a double action conversion of the venerable old 1911 semi-auto pistol (Colt.45) designed by John Moses Browning.
Shortly before abandoning gunsmithing for manufacture, Seecamp Co. offered as part of its 1911 gunsmithing package a slide shortening which used the telescoping double spring recoil system that has become the predominant spring system used by modern short-slide short-recoil autoloaders.
Seecamp Co. introduced the double-action only.25 caliber LWS25 in 1981 followed by the.32 caliber LWS32 in 1985.

Laughridge uses the patented Seecamp "Captive Recoil Spring System" which makes it possible to have a spring that is both effective and strong in a lot less space than would normally be needed.
While the Seecamp system does use two springs it is not the customary dual spring arrangement with a small diameter spring fitted inside a larger one.
Even though the Seecamp spring system is very effective, these shrunken pistols have a problem that can’t be entirely solved with springs.

whats your take on the seecamp .32? - THR
Seecamp is nice but too pricy and finicky with ammo.
Seecamps are $399-459, KeltEcs are about $249, NAAs are the same as Seecamps.
I've read dozens of threads on the Seecamp and what I've found is that, overall, the Seecamp is the highest quality, smallest, generally very reliable pocket pistol out there.

Seecamp .380 auto: this tiny tough-guy upgrades the punch of a classic design Guns Magazine - Find Articles
Between 1981 and 1985, the first version of the Seecamp was made in.25 ACP.
At that point, the.380 project was put on hold for a while, as the small Seecamp company worked on clearing up a two-to-three year backlog of orders for the.32.
To those acquainted with the precision of these little guns, it won't come as a surprise the final assembly and test-firing of every one is done by Larry himself.

 KTOG.Org - P-32 Reviews - Kel-Tec Owners Group
Seecamp has long had quite a reputation as a deep cover gun, but has several drawbacks, namely, long delivery times or scalper prices, and being limited to one type of ammo (Silvertips).
The longer, taller grip allows a better hold than the Seecamp or its clones, and the trigger pull of the P-32 is much nicer than the NAA.
The feed ramp is integral with the barrel breech, and the barrel breech features a hood that both locks into the slide and "hoods" the bullet nose to enhance feed reliabilty.

Review: I purchased a Seecamp.32 pistol in 1989 and for years was pleased with it's size workmanship. These older Seecamps were about hand made and since they have become popular the price has over doubled since 1989.
Accuracy with mine is only fair but in fairness to the gun, it is intended for short range defense only.
The problem is my Seecamp (and others I've talked to) is the stove-piping on the last round is the clip. This occurs about 30% of the time on the last round, even with different clips.

 The Rohrbaugh Forum - Seecamps??
At the time, I remember thinking that the Seecamp had to run circles around the Guardian in quality, much less the cheap-looking Kel-Tec.
Not because I liked it, but because the guy I traded it to was really a fairly nice person and I didn't want him to be saddled with a personal protedtion pistol that was considerably less than reliable.
Maybe Seecamp has responded to increased competition now and their approach to customer relations has changed.

I have ruled out Kel-Tec,.32 NAA is about same as.32 seecamp (but bigger/heavier), NAA.380 way too heavy, Rohrbaugh costs too much, and Tomcat is a little big, although to me its my second choice.

Seecamp vs. Keltec P-32 [Archive] - TheFiringLine Forums
The Seecamp is slightly smaller and somewhat heavier.
I admit Seecamp looked more valuable, but I took Keltec because I can find ammo for it much easier and cheaper here and I like to practice with my guns, not just own them (most shops in Finland do not stock.32 Silvertips), and also I dislike idea of a sightless gun.
I have read Seecamp has said "if you need sights, this is not your gun" or something like that.

Considered by many to be the finest last ditch close quarter self defense pistol ever to be contrived by man, from its inception the Seecamp's production has been severely limited due to the independently minded founder of the company.
Weighing in at between 7 and 8 ounces, the.32 Seecamp offers twice the stopping power of either the.25 automatic or.22 long rifle yet it weighs in at no more than a.25 auto.
The secret was that Seecamp based his design on the 60 grain Winchester Silver tip cartridge, which had compiled in real life reported shootings a 60 % record of stops direct to the torso.

I'm here to tell you, after 24 years on the job as a cop in two different agencies, there are plenty of times "little" guns are used for defense, and they work just fine.
Just so you can imagine how light the P-32 is, a Seecamp weighs about 13 ozs., while the Kel-Tec is about 9.5 ozs.
I'm not demeaning the Seecamp by these comparisons, but it's one of the guns the P-32 is naturally compared with.

Conceptually and dimensionally, it was quite similar to the modem Seecamp hideaway, even using the same 7.65mm (.32 ACP) caliber.
Unlike the double-action Seecamp, though, the Model 3 featured a single-action trigger; hence, it had to be cocked, by working the slide, before firing was possible.
The Model 3 was similar in construction to the Model 2, but it was made larger and heavier in order to handle the more powerful ammunition.

Basically all I was attempting to establish was that there were other rounds out there which were reliable in the little Seecamps², and a "Yeah, the Hornady and Fiocchi feed reliably"approach was going to make for a very thin article.
It took other ammo-makers almost a decade to decide that they were abdicating a viable market to Winchester, and in the mid-'90s Hornady, Fiocchi and then Federal finally introduced their own LWS32-friendly rounds.
It may be said that Larry Seecamp almost single-handedly kept the.32 ACP alive during a time when Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D, NY) was trying to drive a stake in its vitals.
