Learn Kabbalah | Light and the Sefirot
First is that, ultimately, the sefirotic view of the universe is quite similar to those perspectives which maintain there is no real separation between the apparently-real objects in the universe.
In the framework of the sefirot, it is fair to say that the world is made up of oscillations between lovingkindness and judgment, as much as it is comprised of atoms.
The Kabbalistic Godhead of the sefirot mediates between the unchanging Infinite and the world — and so the sefirot are bearers of feeling, dynamism, and energy.

  The Ten Sefirot
The sefirot are the ten archetypal attributes or characteristics of the Godhead.
A distinction is made in Kabbalah between the unknowable Godhead, the En Sof or "infinite", and the knowable qualities of God, represented by the sefirot.
It is necessary to visualize these Ten Sefirot as being connected by "pathways" that go both down and accross the diagram -- and particularly the Pathway of the "Center Column" (Sefirot 1, 6, 9 and 10, the sum of which, incidently, equals 26, the Gematria of the Hebrew letters YHVH, the name of God).

The Sefirot: Kabbalistic Archetypes of Mind and Creation by Sanford L. Drob
The sefirot are one with Ein-sof, in the sense that the flame, the sparks, and the aura are one with the fire.
The sefirot as dimensions, are continuously interacting with one another (uniting, competing, blending, breaking apart, reforming) within both the cosmos and humankind, and it is such a dynamic which lends significance and "life" to the sefirotic scheme.
A general introduction to the doctrine of the sefirot with particular attention to its place in the Zohar is to be found in I.Tishby and F. Lachover, The Wisdom of The Zohar, trans.

 The Ten Sefirot: Divine Emanations
According to this last designation, the configuration of the sefirot suggests that of the human body which, as recorded in the Bible, was fashioned "in the image of God." Hence each sefirah is associated with the particular limb or organ which corresponds to its position in the anatomical sefirotic structure.
According to Kabbalah, the sefirot of keter, chochmah, binah and malchut each possess two interrelated partzufim; whereas the six sefirot from chesed through yesod form their own common and independent pair of partzufim.
As a coexisting group, the sefirot constitute the interacting components of a single metaphysical structure whose "genetic" imprint can be identified at all levels, and within all aspects, of Creation.
