	Virtua Fighter 2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		It was subsequently ported to the Sega Saturn and Microsoft Windows in 1995, and to the Sega Genesis in 1996.
		In addition, Virtua Fighter 2 was converted for the PlayStation 2 in 2004 as part of Sega's Ages 2500 series in Japan.
		It used Sega's Model 2 arcade hardware to run the game at 60 frames per second at a high resolution with no slowdown.

		If I had a Genesis model 2, this would not be possible, as the Z80 was incorporated into one large chip which housed many other chips.
		The logic boards in the smaller models are usually cheaply made versions of the boards in the original models.
		The model 2 tends to lock up probably due to the smaller amount of power it recieves and the cheaper materials used in manufacturing.

		If you own a Sega Genesis, "Model 2" or "Model 3", you'll know, because you'll have a teeny tiny connector in the back of your system (about the same size as an S-Video cable).
		Look for the words "Model 2", "Model 3", or "32X" in the description to be sure you're getting the right connector.
		"Model 2" and "Model 3" are misnomers - while commonly used, because the shape changed drastically, they are really the 3rd and 4th models of Genesis.

		And if Sega launches a new platform anytime before 1999, then there is a good chance that they will fall on there faces due to the confusion that this will cause the consumer, and the mistrust of Sega products after Sega's failure to support the Saturn.
		Sega wouldn't loose any money in a deal like that, many 3rd parties who can't afford to develop games for the arcades, could test their new software for free and most of those games would go exclusively to the Saturn, which in turn is free advertisement for Sega.
		First Sega needs to incorporate the upgrade on the mother board of every Saturn to be distributed from 4th quarter 1997 onward.

		My model 1 system has a 21 pin ribbon cable and all the other chips and stuff to make the mod-chip work but it only makes a load buzzing sound when installed properly, so I thought ok, so it only works in the Saturn model 2 system.
		I bought a white japanese model 2 saturn with the intention of chipping it, but when I opened it up...no chips on the lens board.
		Lik sang is okay - the mod-chip I got from them works in both the Pal model 2 saturns I have (one has a 64 pin chip and the other a 32 pin chip).

		Virtua Fighter 2 for the ps2 isn't arcade perfect 100%, but is the closest in graphics.

		Without it only 2 player play is possible on one machine.

		But on my original Sega CD with a Genny 1, I used to plug in a mixing cable from the Genny's headphone to the Sega CD.
		If you want to route your audio thru the mixing port anyway get a stereo genesis model 2 wire and use rca inline (they extend audio wires) and a stereo rca to phono adapter.

		This game is a little more challenging than the original since the stages are longer and there are tougher enemies to fight.
		Of these, 1 of them are original dedicated machines, 0 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards have been plaed in another game cabinet, and 1 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.
		Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector.
