		Selwyn House School is a prestigious independent boys school in Montréal, Quebec, founded in 1906 by Englishman Captain Algernon Lucas.
		Scandal hit the school in September 2005, when a former student launched a lawsuit claiming that he had been sexually abused by a former teacher, Leigh Seville, during the 1970s.
		The current administration at Selwyn House has no connection with the events in question, as they occurred well before current Headmaster William Mitchell took his position, in 1984.

		The school covers the normal Ontario Grades 6, 7 and 8 curricula in two years (Grades 6 and 7), thereby allowing students to start high school (Grade 9) at the age of Grade 8 students.
		Toronto French School was in the news in February 2006 when English teacher John Aimers was named in a lawsuit alleging he had sexually abused a 13 year old student while teaching at Montreal's Selwyn House School in the 1970s.
