Both radio masts are, as the similar built 265 metre high radio masts of Aholming, grounded, in which the radio power is fed over the guys in a height of 300 metres.
Remarkable at this facility is, that the frequency of the carrier is derived from a rubidium atomic clock, which is in the station building.

Wie beim Sender Donebach wird eine Richtantenne bestehend aus zwei geerdeten abgespannten Stahlfachwerkmasten, die über die Pardunen mit der abzustrahlenden Hochfrequenzenergie versorgt werden.
Der Sender Aholming ging 1989 in Betrieb und ersetzte die Sendeanlage in Erching, die wegen der fehlenden Möglichkeit zur Anwendung von Richtstrahlung (nur 1 Mast vorhanden) bedingt durch Auflagen des Genfer Wellenplans nachts abschalten musste.
