Senior Airman Tanya Saltis pled guilty to the charge of making a false official statement and not guilty to two charges of wrongful distribution.
Adam Oler, the military judge, sentenced Airman Saltis after a trial by military judge alone to a reduction in rank to E-1, 100 days confinement to be served at the Army detention center in Mannheim, Germany, and a bad-conduct discharge.

Senior Airmen are expected to be technically proficient and begin to develop leadership skills, and may be expected to supervise a younger airman.
Senior Airmen are expected to attend the Airman Leadership School (ALS), which is part of the Air Force's Professional Military Education, before being promoted to Staff Sergeant.
Formerly, this grade had two separate titles: Sergeant, which was considered to be a non-commissioned officer rank, and Senior Airman, which was the equivalent of Specialist in the United States Army.

It was purely instinctual for Airman Crayton to rush to the aid of Airman Nusbietel, he said.
Prior to the paramedic’s arrival, Airman Crayton gave a few thrusts to Airman Nusbietel’s abdomen and periodically relayed the status of the victim to dining facility personnel who were on the phone with an emergency dispatcher.

 Moody troop earns ACC Airman of Year
According to Air Force officials, Senior Airman Polly-Jan Bobseine, a security forces journeyman with the 823rd Security Forces Squadron, was chosen for the award based on her hard-working attitude and duties as a fire-team member.
Airman Bobseine continued to “press on” during Operation Desert Safeside, an operation paving the way for future Airmen to become “combat warriors.” It was the first time since 1969 Airmen successfully conducted offensive ground campaigns, said Master Sgt. Rodney Holland, 823rd SFS first sergeant.
Airman Bobseine also made time for Operation Crayon that delivered toys and clothing to local Iraqi villages, and she volunteered more than 50 hours of patient care at the Theater and Combat Surgical Hospitals at Balad Air Base.
