		Following is the September 20, 21, October 21, 26, November 29, and 30, 1971 hearing before the House of Representatives SubCommittee on Mines and Mining of the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs.
		They contend that though the abuses committed 20 or 30 years ago were reprehensible, those operators are now gone and the current operators are doing a good job of reclamation.

		SEPTEMBER 20--With dead bodies still floating in the streets of New Orleans, a pair of Louisiana lawyers are seeking to cash in on the killer hurricane by slapping the name Katrina on alcoholic beverages.
		The trademark application was filed on September 4, just six days after the hurricane slammed into the Gulf Coast, killing more than 1000 residents and leaving thousands homeless.
		The filing by Vicknair, 31, and the 47-year-old Ehrenberg--both of whom are graduates of New Orleans-based Loyola University's law school--does not detail what kind of booze products will bear the Katrina name.

		I'm also sure that the development of superior photography and printing techniques has nothing to do with the fact that Vogue can use a photo of a model (not exactly a shocking move for a, you know, fashion magazine) on their cover rather than a drawing.
		Another thing to consider is that the "look" of a magazine is something that can be tinkered with over time, to a far greater extent than the formula of a soft drink or a new television show.
		Some have suggested that magazines provide their readers with a "sense of community" and reflect key aspects of the group they hope to be identified with.
