September 11- two years on : LA IMC   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
Two years later, the ruling class in the USA is making cynical use of the anniversary to justify its warlike policies, while at the same time they are burying the site of a great human tragedy in order to construct new offices for the greater glory of profit and the market economy.
This is a crude attempt to justify the rape of Iraq by establishing a connection with Baghdad and the events of September 11th.
The events of September 11th were used by Bush and the right wing clique in the White House to justify a new and aggressive policy of imperialism on a world scale.

One of my family members called to tell me to turn on my television, that something was happening.
my training in logic and semantics don`t allow or see the necessity for supposition of blame in matters of serious concern but to know there are people capable of this sort of thing diminished my faith in humanity that day.
My friend Chris turned 180 degrees that day, and went from being a punk rock left-leaning computer geek with hacker aspirations to calling the Taliban “towelheads” and talking about bombing the Middle east to oblivion.

 September 11 - two years after - 11-09-2003 - Radio Prague
Just two weeks before the second anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, a new video was released to the public reminding it of the shocking developments in New York City when two hijacked passenger planes were piloted into the World Trade Centre, leaving it crumbling with over three thousand dead.
Last year was the first anniversary so there was perhaps more reason to mark the event more appropriately and intensely.
The effects of September 11 are still being felt in the economy and in the everyday lives of people.

September 11--30 years since the US-backed coup in Chile   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
September 11 marked the 30th anniversary of the bloody US-backed coup that brought to power the fascist-military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet.
The lessons of Chile are universal and apply with particular relevance to those countries like Italy and France where Stalinism dominates the labor movement and uses its reactionary doctrine of “peaceful coexistence” and “advanced democracy” to lull the masses and permit fascism and the capitalist state to prepare their attacks.
The final attack on the president’s palace on September 11 thus became the culminating blow in a plan which was conceived only because of the acquiescence of the government and the Stalinist party.

September 11 Two Years On (Human Rights Watch Press release, New York, September 10, 2003)
(New York, September 10, 2003) - On this second anniversary, Human Rights Watch expresses its deep sympathy for all the victims of the September 11th attacks, and the many other massive, direct and indiscriminate attacks against civilians that have been a tragic hallmark of the past year.
The bitter experience of the past year shows that repression and human rights abuse fuels the cycle of grievance from which terrorism grows.
Justice for the victims of September 11, 2001, and attacks elsewhere requires a reaffirmation of human rights values, not their rejection.

The two-year anniversary of the horrific events of September 11th may trigger a range of feelings, especially for children who directly experienced a loss.
Preschoolers especially may need additional comforting and concrete explanations about what the anniversary means because they understand time only "in the moment." If your child asks about the events of September 11, and you need to explain what happened, either again or for the first time, be sensitive to your child's age, language, and temperament.
Even on the anniversary of September 11th, it is important to allow opportunities for your child to play and to not focus only on what is happening in other parts of the world.
