		After devoting a day to canoeing and fishing the Murray River and the Serpentine River, we spent the next day circumnavigating Lake Navarino (Waroona Dam) and putting the Jackaroo to the test in off-road situations (it passed with flying colours, and 2 hours of polishing removed all the scratches in the paintwork).

		The Serpentine River, prior to settlement, was a series of lakes joining in the rainy season to snake down to the Peel-Harvey estuary in Western Australia.
		The river's choking death throes were the call to action for landholders, community members and regulators along the system who have applied for a series of Natural Heritage Trust grants from the Australian Government to try to urgently clean up the catchment.
