 A Thompson Twins Biography
The Thompson Twins were formed during 1977 in Sheffield, England by three old Grammar school friends Tom Bailey (bass), Pete Dodd (vocals/guitar) and John Roog (guitar).
The Twins set up their camp in a squat in Clapham, where during 1980 Tom met up with an old college friend Joe Leeway; and met and fell in love with New-Zealander Alannah Currie.
The Twins' first taste of stardom came in 1982 with In The Name Of Love, a track written by Tom (who had taken over as lead singer) to fill a gap on an album.
