		Setif (Sétif) is a university city and also a (The proper sphere or extent of your activities) province in northern (A republic in northwestern Africa on the Mediterranean Sea with a population that is predominantly Sunni Muslim; colonized by France in the 19th century but gained autonomy in the early 1960s) Algeria.
		According to the official figures released by the French government at the time, 1,500 (A believer or follower of Islam) Muslims were killed during the crushing of the uprising.
		The commander of the sub-division in Setif, Col. Bourdila, declared the death toll to be nearer to 7,500, a number which doubled after an official investigation into the matter.
