A resident of Seven Isles, Diane Hess, petitioned the City to save the structure, initiated a campaign to obtain its historic designation status and raised funds (including a matching grant from the State of Florida) to preserve and conserve the pedestal.

The Seven Isles is comprised of 315 households, approximately 1,145 residents.

The SF Site Featured Review: The Seven Isles of Ameulas
Chapters 1-13 of 30 of The Seven Isles of Ameulas
While the writing in The Seven Isles of Ameulas, Casey Fahy's first genre novel, has its problems (e.g., exclamation-mark-rich conversations, at times jarring plotline shifts and loose threads), it is redeemed by being fairly unconventional and weaving together a number of distinctive narratives and character psychologies.
The Seven Isles of Ameulas is an enjoyable and more than just paint-by-numbers first genre novel by an author who has shown himself capable of handling a number of incongruous themes in an interesting and largely non-derivative manner.

 Places in Ierendi
‘The Season of Seven’ on the Seven Isles begins when the social season in Ierendi city ends and the families there have their own party style—with flotillas kicking off the season and great illuminated cliff side gatherings ending it (the last, The Lonalie Candlelit, held the night before the D’Aubaine ball).
The Seven Isles typically have their own fashions, quite distinct from the Ierendi City trends, but every bit as changeable—and it isn’t unusual for the gossip columns to describe Islers as ‘dressed in Sevens’ as a compliment to those who epitomize the highest Isle style.
There is no welcome for the nouveau in the Seven Isles—it is very much about old money; still, the competitive nature of the social season in the Seven Isles does mean that ‘personalities’ of particular wit, charm, fame or notoriety may find a welcome in the Seven Isles for a season or two.

Exactly seven weeks ago, the Rangers extended a pair of back to back wins -- the second a potentially season-defining insult-and-injury thrashing of the Islanders on the Island -- into a three game win streak, and declared themselves fully gelled and ready to roll behind a newfound commitment to defense.
Trailing the Bruins by nine and the Isles by seven, the Rangers' overall tragic number is down to eleven -- any combination of points won by the Isles or lost by the Rangers adding up to that number results in elimination (the number is nine for Boston).
That means the Isles need go only.500 (the Bruins even less than.500) the rest of the way to ensure elimination of the Rangers -- and that is if the Rangers win every single game from here on in, not exactly something Vegas is going to give you good odds for today.
