Seven Spades - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Seven Spades is a card game, apparently created by Johan Wästlund in 2002.
The last (seventh) spade has to be a real spade, and is put face up, not face down.
The number of spades to collect is then multiplied by the number of decks used.

For instance, if the first caller bids seven spades, he is no longer communicating the ace, for if he held that card he would have called it at six.
It therefore follows that a first caller calling seven spades is now clearly saying to all players that he has strength in spades, but no aces or joker....six bits of information.
A hand containing no aces or joker, but 5 strong spades and 5 strong hearts should make a jump bid in the fl suit, leaving the way open to escalate the call to the red suit if you are left on the call, without having to lift the call from seven to eight.

When a card is claimed to be a spade, it is placed face down in front of the player.
If it is not a spade, the challenger has won the game, while if it is a spade, the player who claimed it has won.
Since it is not reasonable to discard a spade, the game will always come to an end before the deck has been exhausted (and well before that, unless the players are bluffing too little).

Quiz on Responding When Partner Bids Over a Preempt
The key is that when you have seven points with support, you realize that this is about what your partner is expecting.
The rule of seven says that when an opponent preempts, you may 'expect' your partner to have seven ordinary points.
Partner's double is takeout and even though he may have only three spades (do you agree with this?) you have lots more than the guideline rule of seven points suggests.

If there is a seven out, and you have either (or both) the six and eight of that suit, you can either play the six on the lower vertical half of the seven or the eight on the upper vertical half of the seven.
If you have extremely high or low cards (like kings and queens or aces and twos) and the seven of that suit, it probably behooves you to play that seven early so that there is time in the game to build towards extremes.
The main problem for the player is that suddenly he or she is not guaranteed to be able to play since there are two of each card.

Just because you can spit out “Seven of Spades” when you’re given the number nineteen, it doesn’t mean that you can quickly recall “nineteen” when you’re given the “Seven of Spades.“ I think that learning the stack with mnemonics had obscured this simple fact.
You say “fifteen” after the Seven of Diamonds, but you may be learning that the next necessary response after the Three of Hearts is going to be “fifteen.” So, it’s necessary to change the tape from time to time.
And when you remember that the Seven of Spades is 19, then you know immediately that the stack number of the Five of Spades is 20.
