 | | To be a Jnāna Yogi, the precondition is negation of identification with limiting factors: wealth, name, fame, body, Indriyas; dualities of experience, pain and pleasure; and love and hate. |
 | | Yogi’s qualities are eight in all: abstention, observance, postures, breath-control, withdrawal of senses, fixed attention or concentration, contemplation or meditation, and superconsciousness or samādhi. |
 | | Yogi controls his ahankāra, meaning that he is not Rajasic or Tamasic and the I-factor is vestigial; once Tamas dissipates, the yogi steps out of darkness; with the removal of Rajas, the mental agitation calms down; stillness prevails. |
