		Snape's notable absence from the melee at the Ministry could be interpreted in a number of different ways.
		The third, and in my opinion most likely, is that Snape was either ordered by both masters to stay behind, or he made the decision to stay out of the fighting on his own in order to better keep either side from finding out who he truly supported; himself.
		We also must remember that if Snape were truly loyal to Dumbledore, then he would have informed the headmaster of the Unbreakable Vow he'd made with Narcissa, therefore making it imperitive that Snape either sacrifice himself, along with Draco for not doing the deed himself, or an ailing Dumbledore.
