		It is quite possible that Castle Sevnica existed already at that time, or that a tower had been constructed.
		However, the Commune of Sevnica tried to protect its cultural value, and had it restored between 1964 and 1974.
		Today, the castle is one of the most important sights in the town of Sevnica.

		It seems that the first official adoption of municipal symbols was prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Sevnica, adopted on 27 March 1996, signed on 17 April 1996, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 23/1996, on 29 April 1996, with effect on 13 May 1996.
		The flag is vertical in ratio 1:3, white outlined in green (no specification on size of the outline, nor it is seen on the construction sheet, it may be that they meant a green fringe, or fringe-like rope).

		The Castle of Sevnica is situated on a rising above the old nucleus of Sevnica.
		Inside the castle are displayed museum collections with the themes of the history of firefighter's in this area, school and gallery with the paintings of Slovene painter Alojz Kranjc.
		On the south-west slope of the rising, below the castle is situated famous Lutheran Cellar.

		I don't know about Sevnica being pretty or not, because I've never been, but there are very few parts of Slovenia that aren't pretty.
		It is a village and not a town, though, so your lodging options will probably be fewer.
		You may find the town of Sevnica a bit depressing because a major factory there was closed and there are many unemployed.

		Having gone to beautiful and amazing Slovenia a couple of years ago - Lake Bohinj and Kranjska Gora, I would like to go back - but to try a different area.
		I was thinking of Sevnica in the east of Slovenia - but can only find very limited information on the area.
		Does anybody have info at all on the area or has any body been to this area of Slovenia - if so please let me know your experiences and also what wildlife can be found there ???
