Sex and the City is an American cable television program based on the book of the same name.
Set in New York City, the show focuses on the sex lives of four female best friends, three of whom are in their mid-to-late thirties, and one of whom, Samantha, is in her forties.
Sex and the City was banned in Singapore until July 2004, when the government allowed the television series to be aired on cable after being censored.

The main characters of the show, Sex and the City, are almost non-existent at the book, specially Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbs.

Sex In The City is a remarkably, witty show with extremely funny writers.
Sex and the City jumped the shark the moment somebody decided that a show about four whining, priveleged, self centered, shallow, vapid yuppies who can't watch a news segment on strife in the Balkans without wondering how it'll affect their sex life would be a good show.

Whereas "Sex and the City" the TV show makes me want to leave my boyfriend/job/wardrobe and run away to the glamorous life of the Big Apple; "Sex and the City" the book makes me damn glad to have a man with a big "unmentionable" and warm feet, and a real life.

My curiosity about Sex and the City came from reading the ramblings of “Garry Bushell on the Box.” Garry Bushell is a TV critic and columnist for The Sun, a top-selling UK tabloid newspaper.
My last respondent claimedthat the lives of well-dressed and well-scrubbed New York art-dealers, PR execs, writers and lawyers rattling on about their sex lives (and their sex lies) was a major turn-off.
On the face of it, this is not uncommon behaviour for the single and sexually active in a big city, despite what my attempts at NYC dating life produced.
