He was born in 680 (HQ) or 1200 CE in Shabestar a suburb few miles from the city of Tabriz in Iran.
He lived for 53 years and was buried, in Shabestar, next to his teacher Sheikh Bahaa od-din Yaqob Tabrizi.

The mean of final fruit set of ‘Soraty Lavasan’, ‘Shabestar’, ‘Cilege Blamarka’, and ‘Napoleon’ after hybridization with ‘Siah Mashad’ were 34, 31, 18 and 15 percent, respectively.
According to the results ‘Soraty Lavasan’, ‘Shabestar’ (group A), ‘Cilege Blamarka’, and ‘Napoleon’ (group B) are cross-compatible with ‘Siah Mashad’.

It has a hook at the end to catch yarn butt of weft.
In some parts of Azerbaijan (Shabestar), it is called "Shish".
In Kashan and some other centers of carpet weaving, this stick is not used at all and weft-pulling is done by hand, which is very difficult and scratches hands.

Tabriz, E. arbaijan prov., April 8, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 3.9 degrees on the open-ended richter scale jolted the city of Shabestar in this northwestern province on Saturday night, the Seismological Base of Tabriz University announced here on Sunday.
The seismological base further said that the epicenter of the quake which occurred at 21:27 hours local time (16:57 GMT) on Saturday was some 100 km northwest of the provincial capital of Tabriz around the town of Tasouj in the vicinity of Shabestar.
No report has yet been received on any possible casualty or damage caused by the relatively mild tremor.

Mullah Gholamreza Hassani, the Friday prayers leader of Orumieh (capital of northwest Iran province of West Azerbaijan) told his congregation on Friday: "There are 518,000 people who have the right to vote in this constituency, but less than 3,000 actually voted."

The seismological base of East Azarbaijan, affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, registered the quake at 3:21 hours local time (2351 GMT) and estimated its epicenter at east of Tasouj and south of Khoy.
