Shaikh Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain (سلمان بن حمد آل خليفة) (born 21 October 1969) is the Crown Prince and the Undersecretary of Defence of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Prior to assuming the duties of Crown Prince, Shaikh Salman was Vice Chairman of Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research from 1992 to 1995, Undersecretary of Defence at the Ministry of Defence from 1995 to 1999, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BCSR from 1995 to 1999.
Shaikh Salman was sworn in as Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain on March 9th, 1999, and assumed the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force on March 22nd, 1999.On February 24th 2001, he was appointed as Chairman of the Committee for Implementation of the National Charter.

Hamad finished the season in third place notching up four wins, two pole positions and seven podiums, then moved on in 2006 to New Zealand to compete in the Toyota Racing Series with Meritus.
Although Hamad is aware a steep learning curve awaits him on circuits that he has never experienced, he is relishing the challenge: ‘I am really looking forward to this season.
The team, which put Hamad together with Fahad Al Musalam, Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, was right on the pace of the very fastest cars in the race despite being in a smaller class and struggling with tyre wear problems for much of the race.

Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifah (born January 28, 1950 in Doha, Qatar) (Arabic: حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة) is the current King of Bahrain (from 2002), having previously been its Emir (since 1999).
He is the son of Isa ibn Salman al-Khalifa, the previous emir.
He and his wife, Shaikha Sabeeka Bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, have four children, Shaikh Salman on October 21, 1969, Shaikh Abdullah on June 30, 1975, Shaikh Khalifa on June 4, 1977, and Shaikha Najla on May 20, 1981.
