The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department is poisoning house crows around a Sham Shui Po housing estate where one was found dead Thursday, with the H5 bird flu virus suspected to have caused its death.
An AFCD spokesman said between 200 to 300 house crows had gathered in Shum Shui Po recently.

Customs officers have neutralised a drug refining and distribution centre in Sham Shui Po, arresting a 27-year-old man and seizing 300g of cocaine and heroin worth $250,000.
Officers intercepted the man in Sham Shui Po at 7pm yesterday.
About 240g of cocaine and 30g of heroin was then found in a Fuk Wa Street flat, along with attenuating and packaging equipment.

The Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a 50-year-old homeless man in Sham Shui Po has contracted Japanese encephalitis, the third case reported this year.
The man was picked up by the Police on June 11 in a park in Lei Cheng Uk, Sham Shui Po, suffering from confusion.
They sent him to Caritas Medical Centre where he was found to have high fever and stiff neck on admission.
