Swami Shankarananda, Russell Kruckman, was given sannyas by Muktananda and was considered one of the more 'advanced' swamis and helped to full the rumors that he was to be Muktananda's successor.
Shankarananda does then go on to explain that his understanding is that the person is separate from the Guru principle.
Shankarananda is typical of the racist SY devotee who thinks that the only good Indian is a realized one.

Finally, I found out one name *Sri Shankarananda* who wrote *vruttis* in the name of *dIpika* to upanishads and vEdanta sUtras and also written an elaborate vyAkyAna to gIta in the name of *gIta tAtparya bOdhini*(GTB).
With this we can assume that Sri Shankarananda might have saluted his guru AnandAtma as govinda swarUpa and at conclusion *ESha shankara bhArati* can be interpreted as his guru's (vidyAshankara) words.
Moreover, author of VC seems to be highly influenced by the style of sUta saMhita and vAsiShta ramAyaNa and it is clear that he tried to imitate this style in VC.

I tried his 1st kriya which is different to SRF but I did start to feel some strong energy from the practice almost immediately
