The Sharjah International Airport achieved high growth rates last November with a 326.0% growth for sea cargo, 18.7% for air cargo, 24.0% passenger movement and 14.0% in aeroplanes movement as compared to November 1996.
The Director General of the Airport, Dr. Ghanem al Hajiri, said that November statistics this year indicate an increase in sea/air cargo through airport to 10,785.0 tonnes compared to 2,530.0 for the same month of last year with an increase of 326.0%.
On the other hand, Sharjah International Airport Director General said that aircraft movement increased during last November by 13.87% to reach 2,669 flights compared to 2,344 flights for November 1996, showing a growth rate of 58.27%.
