The club was founded in 1861 and is one of the oldest clubs in English rugby history.
The club has consistently provided international players and, during the 1930s, had one of its most dominant periods, fielding players of the calibre of Hal Sever (England), Claude Davey and Wilf Wooller (Wales) and Ken Fyfe (Scotland).
Off the field, Peter Deakin was recruited from Warrington Wolves rugby league as Chief Executive to employ the skills he had used with the Bradford Bulls and Saracens and he made an immediate impact in raising the club's profile until hit by the serious illness which claimed his life in February 2003.

The Sharks are a South African Rugby Union team competing in the Super 14 competition (Super 12 from 1996-2005.They are based in Durban and centred around the Natal Sharks union, also based in Durban and drawing players from all of KwaZulu-Natal Province.
Through 2005, they drew players from the two unions based in Eastern Cape Province, the Mighty Elephants (Port Elizabeth) and the Bulldogs (East London), but those unions became the core of the new Southern Spears franchise that was formed in 2006 and was originally intended to enter the Super 14 in 2007.
Robinson approached Terry Kukle, the owner of Tag International, who had been selling merchandise featuring a shark similar in some ways to the current logo, as a courtesy because Robinson believed that the shark would be the most appropriate mascot upon which to build a powerful brand.

Other theories have been put forward as to where the ‘Sharks' name came from, the most credible being that the Cronulla Surf Club's rugby league teams of the 1950's were also known by the 'Sharks' name and wore the same colours.
In 1976, the Cronulla Sharks met with that first of their financial problems when it took a series of loans, through debentures and from banks to finish construction on their half-completed Leagues Club which overlooks the ground.

The first mention of the club is to be found in a letter to the Evening Gazette dated the 23rd November 1920 when Mr H.L.De Roper, who was staying at the Coatham Hotel, wrote to the editor suggesting that it was time that the town of Redcar had its own rugby club.
The club was evicted from that accommodation because the scales used to weigh the 7 stone jockeys were unsurprisingly damaged by the 16 stone rugby forwards checking on the weight of this weeks pack.
Rugby at the highest level is changing, the onset of professional rugby I hope will have little effect upon us, unless you know a multi millionaire with money to burn.

The Shoreditch Sharks is a community youth rugby club launched in Hackney and Islington last November by the Rugby Football Union.
The Shoreditch Sharks initiative for nine to 14-year-olds was launched by Sigsworth and community rugby coach Ronnie Barry with support from Pete Ward from University College London, the players from Old Street and with the backing of several local authority and sporting partners.

The success and strength of the club has been due to a long and sustained working relationship with local junior and secondary schools, which has resulted in a full mini and junior structure involving over 200 players between the age of 6 and 16 years of age.
The club now has 250 mini and junior members aged five to 15, there are 60 senior players registered, and the first team is currently top of North Lancs 2 with an impressive 4000 points scored and only 64 conceded in 11 games, 10 of which have been won.

We can find no mention of Sta.Eulalia Rugby League Club after 1991 although we do have a photo of a small group of children taken in 1992.Someone has said the team(?)was still around as late as 1995.We have no record of any article appearing in Spanish about the Sharks.
The London Broncos Search Party (Alex,Scott and James) was formed to search for the lost Spanish Rugby League tribe the Santa Eulalia Sharks to tell them that Spain forgot(again) to send a team to the Rugby League World Cup and that Fulham Rugby League Club are now called the London Broncos.
Rugby League(Super League) is less expensive than Premiership football but just as exciting.
