		Sharon (שָׁרוֹן, Standard Hebrew Šaron, Tiberian Hebrew Šārôn) is the female (or, less frequently, male) name which can be spelt with one "r" or two (Sharron).
		This is also the name of a type of flowering shrub, the rose of Sharon.
		Sharon fruit is another name for one type of persimmon.

		Sharon, Ontario is a former village which has been incorporated into the municipality of the Town of East Gwillimbury, formerly the Township of East Gwillimbury.
		The Sharon Temple, the one-time meeting house of the Children of Peace (or Davidite) religious sect, located in Sharon, is part of the architectural heritage of Ontario.
		In the mid to late 1990s, housing developments with 70' (21 m) and 80' (24 m) lots were built in the area around Sharon.
