Shaun Anthony Woodward (born October 26, 1958, Bristol) is a British politician, and Labour Member of Parliament for St Helens South.
Woodward was educated at Bristol Grammar School and the University of Cambridge.
As a Labour MP, Woodward served on the Joint Committee of Human Rights, and was a prominent supporter of the Gender Recognition Act 2004.

Shaun Woodward, the UK's Creative Industries and Tourism minister, wants the game industry to help curtail the amount of time kids spend playing games.
Woodward goes on to say, "We want to help parents have the facts to help them in their parenting, and we want games to be a responsible part of this mix." So, first he doesn't want children to play games, now he wants games to help people be better parents?
Woodward advocates that parents should be the ones raising their kids, not the government, which is a stance we can fully support.

Northern Ireland Health Minister Shaun Woodward ordered an overhaul of the waiting lists last July when 4,000 patients were deemed to be waiting over 12 months for treatment, with 800 of those waiting in excess of 18 months.
This included a maximum of nine months for hip and knee surgery and six months maximum for cardiac or cataract operations.
Minister Woodward said the reduction had being brought about by targeting four key areas; greater accountability, patients being treated in strict chronological order, forcing consultants to share waiting lists and greater efficiency with regard to hospital admissions and operating theatres, including the use of theatres at weekends and evenings.
