The space-and-time-traveling adventurer known only as the Doctor, introduced in a BBC-TV television series in 1963, has long appeared in comics as well.
Since the Xena television series takes considerable chronological liberties with ancient history and mythology, one may assume that this comic based on the series is doing the same in portraying Arthur and Lancelot as contemporaneous not only with the Olympics, but also with the Biblical hero Samson.
This Image Comics series (and the TNT cable television series based on it) chronicles the adventures of Sara Pezzini, a New York police detective who possesses the "Witchblade", an ancient mystic weapon which can only be wieled by a female warrior.

 Zero Hour -- Unofficial History of DC Comics
Several new titles were added, including revivals of Mister Miracle and the New Gods, Freedom Fighters, which featured the heroes purchased from Quality Comics, and new series' featuring the Captain Marvel characters, now known more popularly by the name 'Shazam' due to a Marvel Comics injunction.

The Adventures of Captain Marvel was a 15-part feature film serial from the early 1940s starring Tom Tyler as the title character and there was the short-lived cult classic TV series, Shazam!, in the late 1970s.
Other executive producer credits include the animated movies Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, as well as the TV shows Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, Dinosaucers and Doomsday.

In 1965 Jim Nabors recorded an album called "Shazam!" and sang a tune entitled "Gomer Says Hey!" In February of 1994 while Jim Nabors was in intensive care recovering from a liver transplant, the doctors removed a tube in his nose and asked him to say something.
Nabors responded "Shazam!" and made the medical staff burst into laughter.

The live-action library has already been converted to digital broadcast tape (presumably, for their early-to-mid 1990s appearances on British TV), so there wouldn't be any costly or time-consuming tape conversions to have to endure, or pay for (a problem that the Game Show Network is all too aware of).
Also, if you have any interest in the other Filmation series, I urge you to vote for them, too, just so BCI can see which of the live-action properties fans are most interested in.
If you want to tackle one of the other live-action Filmation shows (Shazam!, Ark II, Space Academy or Jason of Star Command), that would be great, too.
