  Poetry Analysis Essay
Thinking of this beauty like the night lets one sense that she is not a regular woman; most women are very high maintenance and are not tranquil always wanting attention.
She uses them to illustrate that the wife is at the end of her rope.
Then she says “you may shoot with your words” that’s trying to say words can’t stop her from being what she wants to be.

She was fair of face with golden hair, and her very welcoming and warm aurora brought a smile to Legolas' face as he remembered the hospitality of his hobbit friends.
She also revealed a small ring, made in the fashion of the Elves, that held in its centre the likeliness of the niphredil flower.
She would live the rest of her days having known real love and its remarkable wonder, and the torment of having it lost.

Lord Byron's Poem, She Walks in Beauty   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
That she walks in beauty like the night may not make sense, as night represents darkness.
She has a remarkable quality of being able to contain the opposites of dark and bright.
This is a repetition, an emphasis of the theme that the lady’s physical beauty is a reflection of her inner beauty.

CPP - She walks in beauty - Lord Byron
She combines opposites (or extremes) in perfect proportions in her looks and in her personality.
Whether it is a true declaration of love or a statement of admiration (of her beauty) is left to the reader, since it's known that this poem was about his cousin, Mrs.
She brings together these opposites in her beauty and creates a "tender light." Not a light like the daytime, since he describes that as gaudy (showy in a vulgar way), but a light that "heaven" doesn't even honor the daytime with.

[minstrels] She Walks in Beauty -- Lord Byron
She walks in beauty like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies, And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes; Thus mellowed to the tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
She Walks in Beauty is the first of those songs.

She is a composite, neither wholly held by rationality or by irrationality.
Although this poem begins with the image of a woman walking, the reader should notice by now that no images are given of her legs or arms or feet; this is a head poem, confined to hair and eyes and face and cheeks and brows.
The physical beauty, the speaker concludes, reflects days spent doing good, a mind at peace, and "a heart whose love is innocent." Whether Byron would have preferred a less innocent cousin, someone with whom he could enjoy Byronic passions, is left unspoken for the reader to decipher.

This simple lyric is reminiscent of the Renaissance love lyric, in which the lady's physical beauty is seen as an indication of her inner beauty and purity of soul.
The poem was inspired by Byron's meeting his cousin when she was wearing a fl mourning dress.
With dark hair and fair face, the lady is a mingling of various lights and shades, comparable to the light and darkness of a night sky with stars.

She Walks in Beauty Summary & Essays - Lord Byron
Written in 1814, when Byron was twenty-six years old, and published in Hebrew Melodies in 1815, the poem of praise “She Walks in Beauty” was inspired by the poet’s first sight of his young cousin by marriage, Anne Wilmot.
This description helps the reader understand the origin of the poem, and its mixing together of images of darkness and light, but the poem itself cannot be reduced to its origins; its beauty lies in its powerful description not only of a woman’s physical beauty, but also of her interior strengths.
