		The Sherman was not just one tank but a whole series that did differ significantly in across models depending on intended role and traits, including the heavily armored and gunned "Sherman Jumbo" to the amphibious (Click link for more info and facts about DD Tank) DD Tanks.
		Shermans were not only lost in battle with other tanks, the majority of losses came from mines, aircraft, and infantry anti-tank weapons as well as from friendly fire.
		Note that the tanks abilities are version dependent, as the Sherman Jumbo had thicker frontal armor then the Tiger and Panther but the ones armed with a 75mm cannon were not even specifically intended for anti-tank work.

		The tank used to be painted pink or some other color by cadets before a big weekend.
		The actual inscription at the site reads as follows: 'Thunderbolt' This M4 Sherman Tank is similar to that used by LTC Creighton W. Abrams in World War II while commanding the 37th Tank Battalion - 4th Armored Division - Patton's Third Army.
		The Royal Stuart tartan was worn by The Citadel Bagpipe Band wjem ot was established in 1955.
