A building in Banar village of the district collapsed due to heavy rains after which people in the neighbourhood rushed out of their houses and stayed in the rain for several hours.
The district administration said it was assessing the losses in the floods and a report was being sent to the state government.
The district administration announced an immediate relief of Rs 2,000 each to the next of kin of the dead, Rs 500 each to the seriously injured and Rs 200 each to people with minor injuries.
