Wakayama is served by a superb infrastructure that includes expressways, high-speed rail links, an international container port and easy access to Kansai International Airport (KIX).
In addition to KIX, Wakayama has it's own domestic airport at Nanki-Shirahama with a one hour flight time to Tokyo's Haneda Airport, which in turn provides much more convenient access to central Tokyo than does Narita.
Ports and Harbors: There are 15 ports and harbors in Wakayama Prefecture, which include the internationally trafficked Wakayama Shimotsu Port, where modern ocean freight transportation services are provided.
