		Although Shinn starts out as the series' protagonist, he is considered by some of the internal cast and external viewers as one of the principal "bad guys" due to the fact that he opposes the established "heroes" from the original SEED, even though the series is presented from his perspective, at least, in early episodes.
		Shinn admitted to his companion Rey that Freedom was perhaps the strongest mobile suit in existence and its pilot had exceptional control and aim: it would be Shinn's personal endeavour to defeat Freedom, almost to the point of obsession.
		Shinn was both surprised and angry that Athrun survived their last encounter where Athrun was supposedly killed when his blue GOUF exploded after being stabbed in the torso.

		I was just looking at the newly released Gundam SEED Destiny symphony CD, and I noticed that Shinn is spelled Sinn on both the CD and the liner notes (or at least there's a song named 'Sinn Asuka'...
		I don't know, but I guess that is a mistake, it would be too much if the Shinn bashing went so far, that even his name would turn into a 'sin'.
		It is a spelling mistake, since it says "SHINN ASUKA" on his core splendor and all other things.

		Of course there is good basis (as you have so accurately described) for Shinn’s hatred of Cagalli, but that’s still a terrible excuse for the poor discretion he showed on the battlefield.
		Her strong ideals were barely communicated since her emotional outbursts (in parliment) and hot tears (in battlefield) didn’t count for much.
		Instead of being able to forcefully justify his motivations, he could only forcefully exclaim “SHINN” (for like 200 hundred times in the last 10 eps of the series) I haven’t seen ep 40 yet but I hear there’s a beautiful display of political acumen on Cagalli’s part.
