FURLONG, proprietor of the Alpine House, Sterling, is a native of Ireland, born in County Wexford in 1845, a son of Thomas and Mary Furlong.

Writs issued out of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, in accordance with Section VII of Chapter 1142 of Pennsylvania Laws, to persons claiming a right to city land because of their status as rightful owners of property which had already been appropriated or developed by the city.

Between the years 1804 and 1815 the pioneers came hither, as written in the general chapter on the settlement of the county, and in the history of Shippen township.
The new county bridge over the Sinnemahoning creek, constructed in 1883- 84, by the borough, one span of which was carried away in the flood of June 1, 1889, was rebuilt in January and February, 1890, by Contractor Palmer, for the county.

SOUTHCENTRAL — Blair County farmer Jerry Zimmerman will pay a $13,500 penalty for a July 7, 1999, fish kill that occurred while he was excavating the bed of a stream that flows behind a barn on his property.
In a joint agreement between DEP and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Zimmerman is required to pay $3,000 to the Pennsylvania Clean Water Fund for violation of the Clean Streams Law, and $10,500 to the Fish and Boat Commission for the fish kill.
Two areas of the park were identified for wastewater improvement projects: a 30-unit campground estimated to have peak wastewater flows of 1,500 gallons per day (gpd); and a scenic overlook area with peak flows at its comfort station as high as 25,000 gpd.

Litzelman allegedly misrepresented the amount of pension that her mother, Ella Loudenslager, had received from the Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System by withholding from the cost of nursing facilty charges to which she was not entitled.
On Nov. 24, 2004, a caseworker at the Tioga County Assistance Office received an exchange that showed Loudenslager's yearly pension was different from what was submitted originally.
On July 7, 2005, according to an affidavidit, Litzelman met with an agent from the Office of the Inspector General in which she admitted she altered 1099-R forms for submission.
