The purchase of a pavilion for shire use at events is appropriate; the purchase of a personal tent for the seneschal is prohibited.
During the month following the proposal, the shire member sponsoring it shall ensure that the draft of the proposal is posted to the shire list-serve within 5 days of the meeting at which it was presented, and provided to the shire chronicler, who shall publish it in the shire newsletter.

The Clan Munro led by Chief Hugh Munro fought as Highlanders along with many other Highland clans at the Battle of Harlaw near Inverurie in Aberdeenshire on 24 July 1411 against an Army of Scottish Lowlanders.
Sir Robert Munro was "rewarded" by an appointment to succeed General Ponsonby as Colonel of the British 37th Regiment of Foot.
Sir Robert Munro was put in command of an British regiment at the Battle of Falkirk (1746) and the Munro Clan themselves fought at the Battle of Culloden.

The southern portion of these highlands is dominated by the Thyolo Mountain (1,462 m), which extends north and south in long ridges, and drops sharply to the Shire River in the west.
At the northern end of the Shire highlands, to the north west of Mulanje, lies the extensive Zomba Plateau.
While the Shire Highlands and its peaks are conspicuous, they only emphasize the magnitude of Mulanje, which dominates the landscape of the ecoregion.

South of Lake Malawi are the Shire highlands and the Zomba and Mulanje mountain ranges; the Zomba plateau rises to 2,100m and Mt Mulanje, the highest mountain in central Africa, to 3,050m above sea-level.
High population density and intensive cultivation of the Shire Highlands have also hindered natural succession there, while wells have been sunk and rivers dammed to irrigate the dry grasslands for agriculture.
