In SS1 (early 1788), Amakusa was the main villain, a spirit who possessed the body of Hanzo's son, Shinzo, and corrupted through the evil influences of Ankokushin Ambrosia.
In SS2 (late 1788), Amakusa returned to the world of mortals from the afterlife, but was not the villain; it was actually a Shinto priestess possessed by the evil spirit Mizuki.
Meanwhile, another Amakusa walks the Earth; in Shinzo's body was the good half of Amakusa's soul, torn apart long ago from his evil half.

Amakusa is a good addtion to the series but even so he could have been better to be honest his look didnt develop until much later into the series and even then it took a while for it to perfect.
Amakusa is a bishonen which soon after I began to respect his character.
Well I respect Amakusa on all forms of extent because his design slowly gotten better but I'm rather worried he sounds like a girl with a molested voice I dont know if thats a result of the fusion with Shinzo or what but it scares me some times.

Tam Tam wants to recover the Parenkei stone, stolen from his village by Amakusa (there are 2 stones, Tam Tam is in charge of one, and his little sister Cham Cham is in charge of the other one).
To be successful this time, Amakusa kidnaps Hazuki Kazama (who appears to have be a sacrificial maiden of sorts) and uses her to gain control of Zankuro's spirit, and make him his ally in his plot.

Amakusa consumed the souls of the people to control the power possessed by Zankuro in order to reclaim the power he once held.
Each one shows a progression of being closer to Amakusa's castle, so this is for the sake of plot (and probably memory).
The statue lies broken, Hazuki is on the floor (alive, hopefully), and Amakusa is a bloody mess on the floor.

In Samurai Shodown 3, he's just a 'normal' fighter, but after his fight with Zankuro, Amakusa is splitt into a good and a bad Amakusa.
Amakusa could be a cool fighter, but he looks quite dumb.
Amakusa wanted to use Zankuros power, but Zankuro killed him in the end of the 4th part.

She fought with incredible speed, much like Amakusa, and was quite tough to beat...
This prophecy began only 20 years (instead of 25) before Shiro's appearance, but the clouds did in fact turn sort of pinkish (a weather anomaly due to drought, I think) and that was enough for the peasants.
