Malik, who has played eight tests and 99 one-day internationals, appeared on Saturday before an inquiry commission convened after his admission that he had purposely thrown the game while leading the local Sialkot Stallions against Karachi Zebras.
Malik later made a public apology and also admitted his mistake before the inquiry commission, saying that he had acted out of frustration to eliminate rivals Lahore Eagles from the competition.
