Shureimon is a gate which calls an official name Uinuaijyo and is in the Shuri castle park, and, naturally is some Shuri castles.
Although Shureimon is famous in the case of the Okinawa sightseeing and proud of notability about the same as the Shuri castle at especially the Shuri castle at it, an actual place is one of the gates which constitute the fortress of the Shuri castle, and is not special, either.
It seems that history is old although it is such Shureimon, and a formal foundation fiscal year is unknown although it is said that it was founded by the time (1527 to 1555) of the King second Syo Mr.

The plaque on the gate is inscribed Shurei-no-kuni (Land of Propriety), in praise of the refined manners and proprieties of the Ryukyus.
Shureimon was formerly called shurijomon, and fondly referred to as Ii-no-ayajoユ by commoners, meaning the beautiful gate above.
The gate was first built sometime between 1527-55 during the reign of King Sho Sei, fourth ruler of the second Sho Dynasty.
