I am surprised to see that no one has reviewed this book until now; it's been out for about two years and the title is certainly intriguing.
General in the way that a lot of information shared was about dogs in general and were not very specific to the Siberian Husky.

Throughout the autumn the wooded gardens and gullies of the town, the rocky outcrops and estuaries along the coastline, and the low-lying wooded hills a little way inland act as magnets for the thousands of birds migrating south, and our visit is perfectly timed to coincide with the peak of this migration.
Other species we should see are Falcated Duck, Eastern Marsh Harrier, Amur Falcon, Red-necked Stint, Great Knot, Siberian Rubythroat, Red-flanked Bluetail, White's and Eyebrowed Thrushes, a number of other eastern Phylloscopus warblers and a wide variety of buntings that should include Siberian Meadow, Yellow-browed and Pallas's Reed.

Rubythroats are great skulkers however, and are not detected every year on the island.
Rubythroats are by far the most likely Luscinia to appear on the island, but if confronted by a female look for the thin white eyeline, white throat, all brown tail and clear breast to separate this species from other possibilities (such as Bluethoat, Swindhoe’s Robin, Red-flanked Bluetail and Siberian Blue Robin).

Sunday morning arrived bright and breezy, the Sparrow was showing but the Rubythroat had not yet been located when we took off again, joy on our faces when we landed to news that the Rubythroat was seen at the Kirk earlier.
The shout came up that the Rubythroat had shown again so we chased off for that, stopping to photograph some very confiding Redwing and Twite on the way, also seeing many Goldcrests and Chiffchaff.
The weather was closing in and everyone had to leave by 3:30pm when the airstrip would close, so whilst I had finally caught up with the 'Holy grail' of a bird, I sadly did not get any pictures of it, perhaps the next one will be a little more cooperative.

This is the second year Siberian Cranes have returned there.
We also saw three introduced Siberian Cranes that seem to have little interest, if any, with the wild ones --- and against the wishes of the wildlife officials.
We dipped on the Pheasant-tailed Jacana there but saw a number of them at Ranthambhor NP where we were lucky at that time of the year to have seen Bengal Tigers and, luckier still, a Sloth Bear.

Keoladeo has been famous for the last visiting pair of the western race of the Siberian Crane.
Unfortunately, the pair did not winter in Bharatpur for two years in succession (2003 and 2004) and it is likely that this species is now extinct in India.
Any 1st time visitor is bound to be overwhelmed by the sheer number of waterfowl and waders which congregate on the shallow marshy lakes of Bharatpur.

So when the first Siberian Rubythroat of the season was reported at the upper end of the east-west runway, people from other groups began converging on that point.
The day we saw the Siberian Flycatcher (first of 6 or 7--more than tripling the total seen in North America to date) we also saw the Rubythroat and Arctic Warblers.

A little further south (on Fair Isle) there is a Siberian Rubythroat.
As Woody Allen says in Play It Again Sam, "I would sell my mother to the Arabs for a chance with a Siberian Rubythroat." Ok I paraphrased it slightly but the sentiment is still there.
I KNOW that the Siberian Rubtythroat is on Fair Isle,but also realise that I worded my posting in an ambiguous manner!
