The Thrushes, family Turdidae, are a group of passerine birds that occur mainly but not exclusively in the Old World.
Traditionally it included the small Old World species, like the Nightingale and European Robin in the subfamily Saxicolini, but now often either that group or the whole family is now placed in the Old World flycatcher family Muscicapidae.
This article follows Handbook of the Birds of the World with edits from Clement and Hathaway, Thrushes (2000), and retains the large thrushes in Turdidae.

My only experience with Eyebrowed Thrush, a Siberian species, is from Attu I., Alaska, in June 1980.
However, note the lack of a white throat, the extensively gray neck that extends down to the upper breast, the brown back contrasting with gray head and, especially, the extensively pure white belly that extends upwards into the orange breast as an inverted "V" (this feature emphasized in Roberson 1980).
Note that Eyebrowed Thrush has strong sexual dimorphism (the sexes of American Robins are much less distinctive).

British Isles Birding - by Richard Bonser
As the morning progressed, however, I learnt of the bird’s continued presence in one of the remotest corners of the British Isles and on this, a team was assembled to travel overnight across the Irish Sea.
However, all of a sudden and almost out of nowhere, ‘Yellow-billed Cuckoo Tresco’ echoed across the country and within minutes I was talking to chirpy birders on St.Mary’s, Isles of Scilly who were about to travel the short stretch of water over to Tresco in order to see the bird.
Within the first hour or so of daylight, it dawned on us that a bird that was showing so exceptionally well the previous day surely cannot turn overnight into some elusive bugger, so on this note we were mightily aware of another dip on the horizon.
