MYSORE: The Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, had a providential escape when the official car in which he was travelling crashed into the pilot jeep that was leading the convoy on the Bangalore-Mysore highway, at Mandya on Thursday.
Siddaramaiah was close behind the pilot vehicle and crashed into it and brushed against the truck.
Siddaramaiah, accompanied by the Hunsur MLA, G.T. Deve Gowda, and Ramaiah, personal assistant to the Deputy Chief Minister, was on his way to Mysore.
