		The Sidney Boot Hill Restoration Committee was unofficially formed in July 2006 and the first organizational meeting was held. On August 22, 2006 the Sidney City Council officially established the committee.
		WHEREAS, Sidney has a unique and colorful history dating from the settlement of the western frontier and the City Council desires to encourage the promotion of activities to recognize the early history of the City.
		The Sidney Boot Hill Restoration Committee shall consist of volunteer citizens dedicated to the restoration, recognition and preservation of Sidney's original cemetery; and the role Sidney played in the settlement of the Western Frontier since 1867.
