| | HIGH BIAS -- Sigh |
 | | Unfortunately, Euronymous was stabbed to death by a bandmate before the ink was dry on the contract, leaving Sigh in the lurch. |
 | | The band's schizophrenic tendencies really begin to show on the second track, "Scarlet Dream." Drummer Satoshi keeps the rhythm funky in a Led Zeppelin/John Bonham sort of way, and a vocoder makes its presence known with some unsettling call-and-response vocals. |
 | | The lyrics are just as obsessed with death as nearly every other song, but the dark sentiments share the arrangements with orchestral bridges, groovy rhythms, electric piano solos, Moog synth ripples, melodic guitars, samples of stereo needles stuck in the vinyl groove, a surprising amount of synthesized bass and a large variety of vocal processors. |
