		Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was organized on November 12, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana by seven young educators: Mary Lou Allison Little, Dorothy Hanley Whiteside, Vivian White Marbury, Nannie Mae Gahn Johnson, Hattie Mae Dulin Redford, Bessie M. Downey Martin and Cubena McClure.
		Thus, Sigma Gamma Rho was founded on the precept of education and continues to promote and encourage high scholastic attainment.
		Sigma Mascot - The sorority mascot is the Poodle.

		When I was the under- graduate advisor to Nu Gamma chapter at the University of Cincinnati, PBS and SGR did several programs together.
		But I think that we should show are respect also to the incorporators, remember they are the brothers who made sure that Sigma could not be duplicated.
