Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. is the first South Asian based sorority founded on the East Coast.
On December 14th of 2004, the Beta Chapter of Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. was officially recognized as the first South Asian based sorority on the Unified Greek Council at the University of South Florida.
Beta Chapter of Sigma Sigma Rho was awarded the 2006 Academic Excellence Award by the Office of Greek Life for being the organization with the highest GPA in the Unified Greek Council.
