Sila María Calderón Serra (born September 23, 1942) was the seventh Democratically elected Governor of Puerto Rico from 2001 to 2005.
Sila María grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico and attended high school at the Sacred Heart Academy in Santurce.
She returned to politics and was elected mayor of the city of San Juan in 1996.

PASAY City's garbage haulers agreed to collect the city's trash on Sunday out of "goodwill" even as new bidding was conducted that would give them a new contract.
The city's four contractors stopped collecting garbage from Pasay's 201 barangay (neighborhoods) on Wednesday, saying they could not continue with their services without a contract.
The city council held an emergency session Friday and decided on extending the contract of the garbage collectors from 60 to 90 days.
